Happy 2nd Birthday Kale

These are from a month ago or so, that Heather sent me to show how much Kale loves Thomas the train
Well I think he just loves trains, trains, and more trains

He even sleeps with his trains and seems to be happy with two or three in his hands

Well it was two years ago that Kale came into our lives and he is quite the little boy

This is the chalboard I made for Kale for his birthday today and it seemed only fitting to have Thomas the train on it.. I hope he likes it Love Nana

Ed's new deck and My broken toe

No it isn't pretty and it hurts alot... it is sure a good thing that it is sandal season or maybe if it weren't then I would not have done this/// we were at the lumber yard and loading boards as I walked around the truck for the 5th time my foot caught on a pallet and the it ripped my toe back and I fell over and hit my knee on the truck OOOOUUUUCCCHHH....

The old hidious steep step the guy built wrong os gone and up went the new deck

It is going to be real nice when the rails on and proper steps as you can see Ed propped up the old steep steep step for now

Ty's haircut

Well today was it .. the day my mud dog got a haircut, well Ty he likes to run around when Ed or I are making any noise with anything from a broom to a power tool he runs circles... we have alot of mud in the back yard .. and he becomes just filthy

My Pottery class

Well this is my very first pot I made in Pottery class, I was not sure if I liked it but my instrutor said I better keep it because it was my first.
This is a sculpture I am presently working on I call it A Mothers Love as you can see it is not glazed or fired I am still refining it here at home and then when it is dry I will take it in and have it fired the first time and then decide if I want to glaze it...

This is my first carving I made it for Heather and she has not seen it yet , but I guess if she looks on here she will see it .. the funny thing is that I made it over a month ago and by the time it dried I had it sitting in the drying cupboard to be fired the first time and when I got it back to glaze after the first firing ther were two other pregnant figures on the shelf one with a child one with out... So I guess they must have liked my idea or there is something in the water at pottery class... I have a few serving dishes being fired now and a pitcher.. I am working on a sculpture for my friends wedding in June , as with A Mothers Love sculpture I call them family Roots as the bottoms look like they are a tree... till next time

April Snow storm

Well here it is April 20th 2007 Yesterday our renter called to let us know that the power line was down across our driveway , We had a Snowstorm hit the area the night before and power lines were knocked down on our highway for over eight miles

So Ed and I headed out there today as he was already at work when I got the call yesterday , neighbours said that there were power poles and lines down in there yard and fearing the worst we drove out today to see...

Fortunately the most damage at our place was the ground wire was down... the power is still not going to be on out at the acreage till this weekend ... our power company said that we were the worst hit on there area.. further North west of us they had power poles broken all the way down roads.. 6000 people with out power...

Ed removed the broken tree in our lane with a backhoe this is a car we passed going to the acreage I guess he thought it was a drive in car wash......

Grad is coming

Well it has been almost 12 years ....

Lindsey is sbout to graduate from high school....

where did all the time go. It does not seem like it was that long ago that I took her to her first day of shcool but here we are 12 years later... Lindsey is not going on to college nest year but she is goingto go back and upgrade some of her classes, to bring her marks up higher ... as she says MOM I will only be 17 and I did miss kindergarten LOL

Anyway she is then planning on going into photography at NAIT in Edmonton so she will be on her own soon enough.

We are going to have a Bar-B-Q at the house after her Grad exercises with family and friends...May 11,2007
